BARBICAN PHOTO SHOOT
This shoot was not to bad but after shooting this place so many times it does become a bit boring and it is hard to find shots that you have not already taken in the past. The new stuff that I managed to find is because of this assignment brief I was looking for the environmental issues that plaque the barbican which is mainly littering. For this shoot I took out the 180mm lens which was a brilliant peace of kit to capture the litter laying on top of the water, I also took out a fish eye lens which I used for a few shots but decided its not a lensthat fits my style of photography, I much prefer the 10-20mm wide angle than having images distorted.
This was my final shoot it was taken on a 4-5 mile round walk through 2 different types of woodland.
The shoot went well there was next to no problems, the weather was beautiful and the images I wanted were captured, next time I go this location I would prefer to camp there and stay a few more days so I could capture the area at different levels of light and different weathers will also be interesting. Wistmans wood was a shoot that I have been craving to do for some time now since I saw the work of Viveca Koh. The second woodland was a great place to shoot also the atmousphere was amazing it looked as if no one had been in there for hundreds of years and the canapy was so dence that even on this very sunny day the sun didn't breach it and therefore inside the wood was very dark and mysterious. On this shoot I tried to travel as light as possible, my kit consisted of a 18-55mm, 70-300mm, 105mm, Nikon D90, Nikon D3100 and a tripod. I was looking to use filters such as the grad which i think would have benifited the shoot But my adaptor was the wrong size for the aperture of the lens.
